What was your first car?

My fIrst car was a Morris Mini and I bought it in about 1963 crashing in all my savings to do so. It cost me about five hundred pounds and was a very new type of vehicle and proof of its long life is that is still on sale fifty years later though now known as a Mini Cooper. It was very easy to customize and I had a leather steering wheel and a sun roof fitted -very cool for a twenty-two year old. It was a dark blue colour.

I had it for a few years then for some reason I switched to another small car - a Hillman Imp. I don't remember much about that vehicle. I sold it when I emigrated in 1967. Joel Maybe you should get another Mini as your next car!

I would have a Mini Cooper in a heartbeat...Dad might have trouble getting in and out!
