Are you more like your father or your mother in what ways?
Well that’s a wierd kind of question…… I was always told that I LOOKED like my Dad - to which he always replied that it didn’t matter too much as long as I was healthy……..not guaranteed to give a child a strong sense of self worth…… If I look at family pictures there is a strong resemblance between me and some of my Currie cousins…. My Dad looked very much like his Dad, who looked like his Dad…. so that I guess is pretty much the Currie line. Personality, who knows? how much is nature and how much is nurture?
My Mum used to say I was like my Granny, her mother, who liked to be busy. Granny always used to tell me I had a glass bottom, scared to sit on it in case it broke…… Both Mum & Dad were hard workers and came from hard working families, so there is a culture there that one is raised with, the expectation that hard work is frespected… or is that my presbyterian upbringing?! Who knows… our genes are a mix of the culture of so many generations.
