Did you have a favorite teacher in middle school what made them great?
It is kind of wierd thinking back to my grammar school experiences, in the context of the ongoing teacher's strike here at the moment. But yes, I guess there were two teachers who stand out for me. One was a MIss Rabson, an older lady, or so it seemed, very proper, who taught me French language. I loved learning French and she certainly taught well, I am not sure which comes first.
The second teacher I recall was a Mrs Rosenberg, who was young and very blonde with deep blue eyes and very striking looking, who had a tall dark and handsome hunk of a husband. She was also pregnant so the combination of all those was quite heady for impressionable teens, remembering that this was an all girls' school. She taught us English Literature..and I have to say instilled a love of Shakespeare, Alexander Pope and Jane Austen. Both those subjects were my 'A' level studies and I would happily have studied either at University, but opted for the more practical, i.e. there was likely to be a job at the end of it, Physiotherapy School...and the rest is history!
