How do you get your news what news interests you?

What news interests you? News delivery has changed so much...it used to be morning, and also evening, newspapers, the radio and TV. For me TV news has killed itself dead with the personality cult of the 'presenter '.... just so many talking heads padding out a story........and radio programming is increasingly a noise factor that I don't need or want in my life...... Nowadays all my news garnering is online.

I can be quietly selective of my choice of 'story' line... and we don't accumulate mountains of newsprint, mostly unread, in the recycling box. Daily I read the New York Times and the BBC World News: for local updates I read the Victoria Times Colonist and for a 'treat' I read the scandalous news in the Daily Mail out of the UK!!! there's nothing quite like the Daily Mail for a scurrilous slant to a news story! Our local freebie newspapers keep us up to date with what is happening in the community.

Got to read the 'obits.'..... When we are on holiday it is still nice to pick up a newspaper and browse through, usually a weekend edition of the Globe & Mail if we are on Hornby. When we are in England the Sunday newspapers are good for a week's worth of reading, usually the Sunday Telegraph or the Sunday Times... or even both. Things that interest me.... well, it's easier to say what doesn't....

I pass the sports section straight over to Jim... or the 'motoring' section. But I enjoy the travel sections and news' y news, tho' politics doesn't generally excite me. It is always interesting to read a newspaper local to an area that we are visiting, gives insight into what makes those places and people tick. I think that's it....xx Nowadays all my news garnering is online.
