What foods do you dislike have these changed over time?
Have these changed over time? I don't think there are any foods that I really dislike. That said there are some things I would prefer not to eat, and as I reach the age of whatever it is that you reach, I no longer feel I have to eat them if I don't want to. When we were growing up there was not as much food available as there is to us nowadays, either in variety or in quantity, so it was pretty much ' eat what's on your plate because there is nothing else'.
So we often had to eat things that we might have preferred not to. It may have been put on the table because that was what we could afford or because that was all that was available in post war shops. School dinners were also a fact of life and very often the food was pretty awful, but that was what was put on your plate and you were required to eat it. I remember the variety of foods becoming more available in the '60's, home production increased and imports appeared in the shops.
Hard to imagine how tied we were to what was seasonal when now almost anything is available year round. So back to the original question, no I don't think my tastes have necessarily changed, but now I can choose to eat what I prefer, and if that means not putting liver or tripe on my plate, I am happy!
