What has made your faith stronger?
Gosh, these questions get harder.............does 'faith' mean a belief in or affiliation to an organized religion of some sort? I was brought up to 'believe' in the same way as my parents had been, in a very traditional 'Christian' way. We went to church, or Sunday School when we were younger, and just believed that that was the right thing to do and that the Christian principles that were taught were the right and only way. The church community for them was strong and suppportive.
As I grew older the need to belong to a church community seemed less relevant and the expression of the 'beliefs' through church based ritual seemed unneccessary. Can 'faith' be separate from traditional conformist behaviour? I believe there is an intrinsic 'right' in the world. Julian of Norwich (1342-1416) writes: 'All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well'...... this the kind of philosophy that bolsters any 'faith' I may have.
Now, next week can I have an easy question please? xxxxx
