Who was one of your favorite high school teachers what made them great?
I have to say that Miss Rabson, my French teacher for ‘A’ level French Language and Literature was the best teacher I had. Who knows why, or what it was that she personally had, but she kept me on track and I always loved French. We read Victor Hugo - 'Les Miserables' and his poems ‘ Demain des l’aube ‘ and Moliere ‘Tartuffe' and 'Le Malade Imaginaire’ all of which had to be challenging for Grade 11/12 students but somehow she kept us on track and prepared for the graduating exams at the end of the school year.
My second choice, after physio school, for post secondary studies would have been to take French at University. I think I opted for physio school because, always practical, I knew that there would actually be a job at the end of it, whereas a degree in French might have lead me…. where?
